What to Expect During Your Child’s Physiotherapy Appointment
During the initial pediatric physiotherapy assessment, we will:
- Discuss your child’s medical history, symptoms, goals, and activity level
- Assess movement, strength, balance, posture, mobility, and coordination
- Identify contributing factors affecting movement or pain
- Develop a personalized treatment and exercise plan
- Provide education and home exercise recommendations for parents and caregivers
Our treatments are designed to be supportive, engaging, and appropriate for your child’s age and abilities.

No. A doctor’s referral is not required to book pediatric physiotherapy in Ontario, although some insurance plans may request one for reimbursement.
Pediatric physiotherapy may help infants, toddlers, and children depending on their condition and needs.
Many extended health insurance plans include physiotherapy coverage. Direct billing may be available for eligible providers. We recommend calling your insurance company to confirm coverage.
An inital appointment is 60 minutes and follow up appointments are 40 minutes.
Comfortable clothing that allows movement is recommended.
