Dear BodyLab Patients,

We want to update you on the status of the accessibility ramp project at BodyLab Recovery Science.

Our team is committed to ensuring that every patient can access our space safely and comfortably. Currently, we are awaiting final direction from the City regarding which build classification we fall under for the purposes of construction approval. This determination is tied to zoning and because our building is zoned residential, there are currently no predefined accessibility standards that apply to our specific “Continued Use of Space” as a health clinic awarded by the City in 2021.

To move this forward responsibly, we have submitted two applications for review:

Residential Application – compliant with residential guidelines and designed to maintain clear egress and public space access.

Commercial Application – aligned with commercial accessibility requirements, which necessitates a deeper review of the property’s green space, public easement, and infrastructure.

We fully understand that accessibility is essential, and we want to provide a lasting solution. However, we are equally committed to ensuring that any installation meets the correct standards, provides safe access, and does not introduce unintended hazards or liabilities.

We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this process. Our goal remains to create seamless and safe accessibility for everyone visiting BodyLab.

Thank you for your continued support.

Kind regards,
BodyLab Recovery Science
